Book Talk:  Cooroy Library Opening, Cooroy, June 6

Author Steven Lang’s first novel, An Accidental Terrorist, won both Queensland and NSW Premiers’ Literary Awards. His most recent novel, 88 Lines About 44 Women, is published by Penguin. The play A Strong Brown God was first performed at the Metro Theatre in Brisbane. Steven lives in Maleny.

A Strong Brown God

In this one-man-show Steven Lang gives an account of the journey he made along the length of the Mary River, on foot, following the route taken by the first white settlers. Using a compelling combination of story-telling and photographs he creates a picture of the river as it is and as it was; a weave of his own story with that of the earlier settlers and of the Aboriginal inhabitants who preceded them.
