TreeLine Family Day @ Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens

Where: Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens, Palm Creek Road, Tanawha, Sunshine Coast
When: Saturday, May 29th, 10am - 2pm
Join us for a day of art activities in the beauty of the Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens. Bring a picnic, meet many of the TreeLine artists, and enjoy art installations and activities for all ages.
Free Art Activities - 10am - 2pm
- Lead Artist Pamela Mei Leng See will provide printing activities, issues of exploring weed species and migration.
- The Currimundi Catchment Group will offer a kite painting activity and invite you to join them on World Environment Day, June 5, at 1.30pm to fly your kites at Art on the Wind at Currimundi Lake entrance.
- Grow the TreeLine tree – recycled leaf activity – add to our installation
- Kids reading area – Jill Morris’ books and posters
- Face painting
Performance
- Lead Artist Leah Barclay and Lyndon Davis will give a preview of her Cypress Trilogy new media installation and performance at midday. Leah will perform and have an installation at the Noosa Regional Gallery in the evening from 5.30 - 9.30pm on Saturday, May 29th. Free.
Community Art with Our Lead Artists
- Maree Edmiston Prior - interact with Maree's Beach Biosis project
- Corrie Wright will explore the urban tree with her Me and Machine Plus One Performance
Installations
- Walk the Gardens and discover installations by Lead Artists The Catchment Collective (this collective will install the week prior to the Family Day and their installations will be in place until June 30th)
- Community Program Artists Kolora Magic textile art installation. Kolora Magic exhibited in Palmwoods in March and will install their project at Kolora Park on May 25th. Many school children have enjoyed working with this project.
